Kroger ends its Health Savings Club

Kroger has announced it is terminating the Kroger Health Savings Club. It has sent members the following notice:

We regret to inform you that Kroger Health Savings Club will be ending, and your membership will not be renewed on 3/23/25. This decision was not made lightly, and we deeply value the trust you’ve placed in us to support your healthcare needs.

Redditors are commenting this is simply because no other grocer has a similar plan, so it was an opportunity to increase revenue by matching competitors. Regardless, this represents yet more upward pressure on healthcare prices.
